Question 464203: Calculate the instantaneous speed of an apple that is at free fall and speeds at 10 m/s for 1.5 seconds. Found 2 solutions by Alan3354, richard1234:Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The instananeous speed at what instant?
Using what formula for its speed?
If it's falling at 10 m/s for 1.5 seconds, why isn't it accelerating?
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If gravity is the only force acting on the apple (definition of free fall) then it must be accelerating, and can't be going at 10 m/s for 1.5 seconds (unless it is in equilibrium).
