distance = 60 miles
friend1 =21 mph
friend 2= 15 mph.
they are riding towards each other
so speed = 21+15 = 36 mph

t=d/r
t=60/36
=1.66 hours

friend 1 distance = 1.66*21=35 miles
friend 2 = 25 miles

The key is that if they will always meet at
the same time on an observers watch.
since they leave at the same time, each
friend's equation of motion has the same , elapsed time.
