Question 350435: Emily leaves home at 2:00 traveling 30 miles per hour. Sarah leaves 20 mins. later traveling at 36 miles per hour. At what time will they meet up.
I think it has something to do with t=r/d but the question does not give distance. I also tried at table 30t+36(t+20)= ____ but I don't know what to put in the blank. Please help me. Thank you for you time.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
they meet up when they have traveled the same distance ___ Sarah has 1/3 hr less travel time but she goes faster

d = rt ___ 30(t) = 36[t -(1/3)]
