(miles/hour)x(hours/minute)x(minutes/second) = miles/second
It's easy to see this if you just shift numerators around
and then shift denominators around
(miles/second)x(hours/hours)x(minutes/minutes) = miles/second
Now putting in numbers: miles/hour x hours/minute x minutes/second
= miles/second
