Question 21181: Two trains are 150 miles apart. The two trains meet after 3 hours. Train A is 10 mph faster than train B. What is the average speed for each train? Answer by Paul(988) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let train B be represent by x and let train A be reprsented by 10+x
3(10+x+x)=150
30+3x+3x=150
6x=150-30
6x=120
x=20
20+10=30. hence tarin A is traveling at 30mph and train B is traveling at 20mph
