Question 1201923: Two cars are traveling in opposite directions at different rates. Two hours later, the cars are 100 mi apart. Express the distance traveled by the faster car in terms of the distance traveled by the slower car. (Let x be the distance in miles traveled by the slower car.)
I see that some beginner " math composer " makes efforts to create his (or her) own math problem.
But, unfortunately, these attempts are not successful (I just saw similar and even more unsuccessful attempt before).
This time the fault is that the problem does not say that the cars started simultaneously from the same point
in opposite directions.
I must confess that it is a sad sight to observe as somebody tries to create his (or her) own problems
without knowing the subject.
Actually, this site/forum is not intended to teach on how to create and to write math problems.
If you want to write them, then you need to learn the subject first.
Learning Math requires from 5 to 10 years, tentatively.
(depending on the starting level (which in your case is about zero); final level,
intensity of studies, and a specialization).
May be, more. There is a lower limit, but there is no upper limit . . .
So, after 10 years come in, fulfilled with ideas and knowledge.
We will be glad and happy to welcome you at this forum as a new colleague.
But right now your ability to create Math problems is zero - if not negative.
