Her brother left 2 hours later and was 76 miles behind. He was driving 5 mph faster than she was, so he gained 5 miles every hour and it took 4 hours for him to be 56 miles behind her.
43*4=172 miles
she was 56 miles ahead when she arrived, so the total distance was 228 miles
