Two motorcycles travel toward each other from cities that are about 945 km apart at rates of 120 km/hr and 90 km/hr.
They started at the same time. In how many hours will they​ meet?

time =  =  = 4.5 hours.


The denominator 120 + 90 = 210 km/h is the rate of decreasing the distance between motorcycles.

Each hour the distance decreases in 210 km.
