Then the next consecutive even number is n+2, and the next is n+4 and the fourth is n+6.
Now let's add them up and set the sum equal to 212 and get
(1) n + (n+2) + (n+4) + (n+6) = 212 or
(2) 4n +2 +4 + 6 = 212 or
(3) 4n = 212 - 12 or
(4) 4n = 200 or
(5) n = 50
Let's check using (1)
Is (50 + 52 + 54 + 56 = 212)?
