(2ab)(ab3)(-3a)

Give each letter that shows no exponent the exponent 1

(2ab)(a1b3)(-3a1)

Multiply the coefficients 2·-3 and get -6, put that out
front:
 
-6(ab)(a1b3)(a1)

Now add up all the exponents of a,

-6ab+1+1b3 

-6ab+2b3
