Question 52649: -12=6+2/3y
the "2/3" is a fraction. Thanks if you can help...

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1st , you MUST get rid of the 3 in the denominator on the one side of your problem. You do this by multiplying 3 on both sides of the equation. 3(-12)=[6+2/3y]3 -----> -36=18+2y ---> 2y=-54 ----> y=-27 I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!? REMEMBER : GET RID OF FRACTIONS - ESPECIALLY DENOMINATORS BY MULTIPLYING BOTH SIDES!!!!! I hope this helps you!? Your math friend, Terry cats7051@yahoo.com
