You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
Let smaller number = x
Larger number is therefore x+5
(x+9)(x-4) = 0
so x+9 = 0 or x-4=0
so x=-9, x=4
The question says positive numbers, so x=4 and the larger number is 5 greater, is 9.
