You can put this solution on YOUR website! For this question, lets break it into pieces. It says 5 less than one. In other words:
1 - 5 = -4
Because we are taking five away from one, we're getting a negative number because five is more than 1. Half of -4 is -2.
-4 / 2 = -2.
So there is your answer.
