I don't know what inte r gers are, consecutive or otherwise, or how you would find a sum of them. On the other hand, if you have two consecutive integers, then proceed as follows:

Let represent the first (smaller) of the two integers. Then must represent the second of the two integers because they are consecutive (look up the definition of "consecutive" if you don't understand why). Then you can take their sum:
