You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If 4 is added to twice a number and this sum is multiplied by two, the result is the same as if the number is multiplied by 3 and 4 is added to the product. What is the number?

Let the number be N

If 4 is added to twice the number, the new number becomes 4 + 2N.

When this sum is multiplied by two, the new number now becomes 2(4 + 2N) or 8 + 4N
Since this result, 8 + 4N is the same as if the number is multiplied by 3 and 4 is added to the product, then we can say that:

8 + 4N = 3N + 4

4N - 3N = 4 - 8

N, or the number = highlight_green%28-4%29
