Question 322556: The product of two consecutive odd integers is 79 more than their sum. What is the smaller integer of the two integers?
I got x and x+1
then according to the question I got x*x+1=x+x+1+79
then I combined the common factors and got x^2+x=2x+80
after that I moved everything to one side and got x^2-x-80=0 (x+__)(x-__)
I got stuck here because I couldnt figure out what 2 number is multiplied together to get 80 but still get 1 for the middle.
