Well, I need some help here.
You can't add multiples of even integers to get 43, you'll always get an even number.
I can set up the problem and you could see how it would be solved.
I think you mean smaller integer is added to three times the greater to get 43.
S%2B3G=43
S=x
G=x%2B2
x%2B3%28x%2B2%29=43
x%2B3x%2B6=43
4x%2B6=43
4x=37
That's as far as you can go since 4 doesn't go into 37 evenly. That shows that you can't get two evens to add up to an odd.
