Question 296639: find three consecutive even integers so that the largest is 2 times more than
the smallest?
Answer by unlockmath(1688) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello,
Let "x" represent an even integer. "x+4" will show the largest. Now we can set up an equation to be:
2x=(x+4) Subtract x from both sides to get:
x=4
So the integers are 4,6,8
There we go. Make sense?
There's a book I wrote covering the basics:
