Is this correct?
Let x = grams of 100% gold
Let y = grams of 75% gold allow
Given x + y = 50 grams
Find x and y for 85% gold alloy

X + .75(50 – x) = .85 * 50
X = 20
Y = 30

She checks her pulse for 10 sec while exercising. What should the number of beats be?
This should be in the form of an inequality.

Do not apply this formula without checking with a physician!) An 8-year old child needs medication. What adult dosage can be used if a child’s dosage must stay between 100 mg and 200 mg?
