Find the percent acid concentration of the first solution.

let x = the per cent of the 12 ml solution
:
12x + 42(8) = 50(12+8)
12x + 336 = 50(20)
12x + 336 = 1000
12x = 1000 - 336
12x = 664
x = 664/12
x = 55% is the 12 ml solution
