Question 918513: A chemist wants to get 120 mL, of a 87% solution. If she has to make it by mixing a 80% solution and a 92% solution, how much of each should she use?
I have x=80% solution and y- 92% solution.
The last question our instructor used was: A chemist has to prepare a large amount of 35% acid solution for an experiment. He has 37 L of 60% solution to combine with some amount of 25% solution. How much 25% solution should he use, and how much 35% solution will that allow him to create?
I had x=Litres of 25% solution which was 92.50; and y= Litres of 35% solution and i got 129.5!
So I am at a loss as how to solve this equation
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The units in volumes and percents, no other information used, these need to use percents as either weight per volume
or as volume per volume.
