You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you mix 140mL of a 60% acid solution with 200 mL of a 30% solution you get a 40 mL of a _______% solution.
-----------------------
60% solution DATA:
Amt = 140 ml ; Amt of acid = 0.6*140 = 84 ml
--------------------
30% solution DATA:
Amt = 200 ml ; Amt of acid = 0.3*200 = 60 ml
-------------------
x% solution DATA:
Amt ; 40 ml ; Amt of acid = 40x ml
--------------------------
EQUATION:
acid + acid = acid
84 +60 = 40x
144 = 40x
x= a percentage greater than 100%
COMMENT: Something is not stated right in your posting.
