Let x=cost of hamburger mixture
Now we know that the cost of the $2.40 mixture (100*2.40) plus the cost of the $3.20 mixture(60*3.20) must equal the cost of the final mixture (160x). So our equation to solve is:
(100)($2.40)+(60)($3.20)=160x get rid of parens
$240+$192=160x collect like terms
$432=160x divide both sides by 160
x=$2.70 per pound-----------------------------cost of final mixture
