Hi,
How much whipping Creamhighlight%28x%29 @ 9% Butterfat and Milk @ 2% Butterfathighlight%2835-x%29
should be mixed to obtain 35 gallons of milk with 4% Butterfat?
Mixing Algebraically:
.09x + .02(35-x) = .04*35
.07x = .02*35
x+=+.02%2A35%2F.07+=+%282%2F7%29%2A35= 10gal of the 9% and 25gal of the 2%
Note:
Same amount of gallons on each side of the EQ
