Replace a and b
3c + (c-1) + c + d = 12
5c + d = 12 + 1
5c + d = 13
Assume that c has to equal 2, therefore
5(2) + d = 13
10 + d = 13
d = 13 - 10
d = 3
find the rest of the digits
a = 3(2) = 6
b = 2-1 = 1
c = 2
d = 3
then
6123 is the number
