Question 475483: .35*2m^3 + .15*6m^3 = x/100*8m^3 I'm not sure how to proceed from here. I got the solution online, but steps the tutor considered redundant were omitted, and even working backward from the solution, I can't figure out what they were. I need those steps so I can figure these things out on my own. Thanks for considering my problem. Ron Found 3 solutions by ewatrrr, stanbon, solver91311:Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source):
Hi,
Now that I am understanding Your question properly:
Mixing 2m^3 of 35% solution with 6m^3 of 15% solution
Generally, recommend letting x represent a 'decimal value' on the right side
Mixing
.35*2m^3 + .15*6m^3 = x* 8m^3
1.6m^3 = x*8m^3
1.6/8 = x
.20 = x |.20 = 20/100 OR 20% |Converting the decimal to Percent
mixing will result in 8m^3 of 20% Solution
If I am understanding Your Question properly: disregard |
x = 1280m^6
You can put this solution on YOUR website! .35*2m^3 + .15*6m^3 = x/100*8m^3
-----------------
0.70m^3 + 0.90m^3 = x(0.08m^3)
----
(1.6m^3)/(0.08m^3) = x
x = 20
