You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A woman has made 6 quarts of an orange juice punch for a party.
The punch contains 12% orange juice.
She feels she may need more punch, but she has no more orange juice so she adds 1/2 quart of water to the punch.
Find the percent of orange juice in the new mixture.
:
Let x = the per cent of orange juice in the new mixture
:
12(6) = x(6+.5)
72 = 6.5x
x = 72%2F6.5
x = 11.077 percent orange juice now
