How many liters of each will he need?
:
Let x = amt of 25% solution
The total is to be 75 liters, therefore
(75-x) = amt of 10% solution required
:
.25x + .10(75-x) = .16(75)
:
.25x + 7.5 - .1x = 12
:
.25x - .10x = 12 - 7.5
:
.15x = 4.5
x = 4.5%2F.15
x = 30 liters of 25% solution
and
75 - 30 = 45 liters of 10% solutions
