You can put this solution on YOUR website! Fruit salad which costs $3/lb is made by combining sliced peaches which cost $2/lb with sliced bananas which cost $6/lb. Find the number of lb of sliced peaches and sliced bananas required to make 12 lb of fruit salad.
so we will call x number of lbs of sliced peaches and y number of lbs of sliced bananas now we have to solve this system of equations divide both sides by 4 so since we said earlier that x=12-y then
so we need 9 lbs of peaches and 3 lbs of bananas
