find the number of kgs of cashews and peanuts sold.
:
let x = amt of $4.50 cashews
total mixture is 100 kg, therefore:
(100-x) = no. of $1.50 peanuts
:
4.5x + 1.5(100-x) = 2.61(100)
4.5x + 150 - 1.5x = 261
4.5x - 1.5x = 261 - 150
3x = 111
x = 111/3
x = 37 kg of cashews
then
100 - 37 = 63 kg of peanuts

50 - 37 = 13 kg left over
