40% raise of 4000 is 4000*.40 or 1600
so July's salary is 5600
Divide that by 160 hours worked in July and that is 35.
No choices work.
Note, 4 weeks in June meant that the hourly rate in June was 4000/(40*4)=25
A 40% increase would be 25*.40=10 for increase and new hourly rate is 35, so the answer above checks.
