Question 1134612: Rachel needs a mixture of 55 pounds of nuts consisting of peanuts and cashews. Let P represent pounds of peanuts in the mixture. Write an algebraic expression for the number of pounds of cashew that she needs to add.
I have no idea how to solve this, I tried reverting back to my note, but there was nothing, I'm desperate. Thank you so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You want to end up with an expression and not an
equation, but you can get there by saying:
Let +C+ = pounds of cashews needed
Then I can say:
+C+=+55+-+P+
The right side of the equation is the expression needed
+55+-+P+
