Question 1134582: A new medicine was given to a sample of 25 people. Out of the total, 17 patients reacted favorable, 3 reacted unfavorably, and 5 were unaffected. Three people are randomly chosen.
Find the probability of all three reacted favorable. (Remembering one person at a time is being selected. This means finding the probability without replacement.
And find the probability of the first person reacted favorable, the second person did not react favorable and the third person was unaffected.

Some of this stuff isn’t in the notes and I emailed my teacher. I even watched videos and it wasn’t helpful. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For the first one, you will start with 17/25. Since we are not replacing the people and looking for 3 favorables, both the numerator and the denominator will decrease by 1.
For the second one, the denominator will decrease by 1 but we will use each of the 3 values given.
