You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let us designate the number of 3 pound bags sold as x
And let us designate the number of 20 pound bags in terms of x. Specifically, we know that 84 total bags are sold. So if 3 pound bags sold is x, then the 20 pound bags sold is equal to 84-x.
Now we add them together...
3x%2B20%2884-x%29
All of the bags sold, with their respective weights, adds up to 660 pounds. So...
3x%2B20%2884-x%29=660
Multiply...
3x%2B1680-20x=660%29
Subtracting 660 from both sides, and adding 17x to both sides, we get...
1020+=+17x
Now divide by 17, and...
60=x

3%2A60%2B20%2A%2884-60%29=660?
