You can put this solution on YOUR website!

It depends on how many days you want to keep the car. The cost per day for the first company is and the cost per day for the second company is . Set these two expressions equal to each other and then solve for to get the number of miles per day that must be driven to make the costs equal.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let +C+ = the cost of renting a car
Let +n+ = number of miles driven
--------------------
Saver Renta a Car Agency:
(1) +C+=+51+%2B+.2n+
Local's rental car:
(2) +C+=+65+%2B+.16n+
--------------------
Assume the car is only driven for 1 day
+51+%2B+.2n+=+65+%2B+.16n+
+.04n+=+14+
+n+=+350+
the car has to be driven 350 miles for
both costs to be equal
