Question 302576: Hi,
I've used this site a couple of time and found incredible people who are willing to help.
This is actually a problem that was given to my daughter, in the 4th grade, and I cannot even figure it out, if it can be?
The problem is: CAN you write the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9 in these circles so that each line, including the one in the middle of the rhombus, adds up to 16? Use all 9 numbers only once. Gives hint, put 8 in the top circle, 7 in the middle and 9 on the bottom circle? That didn't make since to me immediatley. I will draw the diagram using x's and o's where the numbers go.

The x's just show how the diagram goes, the o's are where the numbers are supposed to be placed, if you put the numbers as they say, one Rhombus will equal 16 already, so how is this possible?
