Question 266624: A bag contains 9 pink marbles, 6 green marbles and 14 brown marbles. What is the chance of drawing a pink marble? If a pink marble is drawn then placed back into the bag, and a second marble is drawn, what is the probability of drawing a green marble? Give solutions in reduced fraction form, seperated by a comma.
I know it's asking me 2 different questions, but I can't figure out what to do. Please show me all the steps so I can do my other 30 problems. I am completely lost.

A mini license plate for a toy car must consist of a number followed by two letters. Each letter must be a C, A, or R. Each number must be a 3 or 7. Repetitions of letters is permitted.
there are 4 parts to this:
1. Use the counting principle to determine the number of points in the sample space.
2. Construct a tree diagram to represent this situation.
3. List the sample space.
4. Determine the EXACT probability of creating a mini license plate with a C. Give the solution in reduced fraction form.
Please show me everything, I have 7 other problems to do like this and I need alot of help please, I am taking online courses and my professor isn't helping much at all.

Question 266702: Hi everyone, I'm having a bit of a problem with, well, a problem. We've been dealing with quadratic equations and I'm pretty sure that's how to solve the problem, however I can't figure out how to set up the problem.
Here's the posed problem:
In March of 2000, Doug Danger made a sucessful motorcycle jump over an L-1011 jumbo jet. The horizontal distance of his jump was 160 feet, and his height, in feet, during the jump was approximated by h = -16t^2 + 25.3t + 20, t>/=0.
He left the takeoff ramp at a height of 20 feet and he landed on the landing ramp at a height of about 17 feet. How long, to the nearest 10th of a second, was he in the air.
Now I did attempt to solve for T by setting h to zero and h to 17.
Setting h to zero gave me -25.3 +/- sqrt (25.3^2-4(-16)(20)/2(-16) = -25.3 +/- sqrt 1920.09/-32
Setting h to 17 = -25.3 +/- sqrt 448.09/-32
I'm obviously missing something, but what?
