Question 929680: This is a money and mixture problem. (Sorry couldn't find an option with both).
I've tried to set it up, but I believe its wrong.
Please assist me; Two kinds of candy were combined to make 50 lb of a mixture. The less expensive candy cost 37¢ per pound and the more expensive cost 45¢ per pound. If the total mixture was worth 40¢ per pound, how many pounds of each kind of candy were used.
My equation was : L+M=50
37L+45M=2,000
