Question 879583: Jessica was computing the volume of a rectangular prism where v=lwh. For her, the width was the same as the height. After multiplying the length and the width she said that she made the width 1/3 larger than it should have been. Since the width was the same as the height, she lowered the third number by 1/3 of itself and continued to multiply to get the final answer. Justin, who did the same problem with correct number, showed that Jessica was off by 12 cubic yards. What is the correct volume of the prism?
