X^2-36=(X-2)(X-2)
X^2-36=(X-2)(X-2)
X^2-36=X^2-4X=4
X^2-X^2+4X=4+36
4X=40
X=40/4
X=10 ANSWER FOR THE ORIGINAL SIDE LENGTH.
