Question 894228: If a person's eye level is "h" meters above sea level and he can see "d" kilometers to the horizon, then "d"=3.57sqrt"h". Suppose the person's eye level is 11.56 meters above sea level. How far can he see to the horizon?
Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
The answer is in kilometers. I put the quotation marks around the variable to prevent any confusion with the setup.
Please help. :)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If a person's eye level is "h" meters above sea level and he can see "d" kilometers to the horizon, then "d"=3.57sqrt"h"
d+=+3.57sqrt%28h%29.
Suppose the person's eye level is 11.56 meters above sea level.
How far can he see to the horizon? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
d+=+3.57sqrt%2811.56%29
d = 3.57*3.4
d = 12.1 km
