Your first step is to figure out how many yards of ribbon (y) you have.
y = 63 inches x 1 ft/12inches x 1yard/3ft
y=63%2A%281%2F12%29%2A%281%2F3%29
y=1.75
So now you know you have 1.75 yards of ribbon. To get the cost (c) of that, just multiply it by 12 cents:
c=1.75%2A12 cents
