Question 86971: I need some help on this
Evaluate. 3 • 62 – 8 • 7=

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20056)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3•62 – 8•7 =

Multiplication must be done before subtraction.

Do the first multiplication, which is 3•62 and replace 3•62 by 186.

Now you have

186 - 8•7

Multiplication again must be done before subtraction, so

Do the first multiplication you come to, which is 8•7, so replace
8•7 by 56

186 - 56

Now there is nothing to do but subtract, so the final answer is 130.
