You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi there, if they are parallel then doesn't that mean they are the same? or is there more to the question that you forgot to specify...

The area of a trapezoid is 240 cm2. The height is 20 cm and the length of one of the parallel sides is 6 cm. Find the length of the second parallel side. Round off your answer to two decimal places.
Area of trapezoid, or A = , with:
h being height
being base 1 (one of the bases of the trapezoid)
being base 2 (one of the bases of the trapezoid)
Solve for one of the bases and do a check. You should get cm as the length of the longer base.
