Question 772576: Jack thinks of a number. When he rounds the number to the nearest hundred it is 400. When he rounds the number to the nearest ten it is 380. What might the number be?
Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! A number that rounded to the nearest ten is 380
must be 375 or higher, and 384 or lower.
The options are 375, 376, 377, 378, 379, 380, 381, 382, 383, or 384.
Any of them, when rounded to the nearest hundred would be 400. That piece of information is not needed, and is not helpful.
