Volume=%285x-2%29%284x%2B3%29%283x%2B2%29foil the 1st 2 factors
Volume=%2820x%5E2%2B15x-8x-6%29%283x%2B2%29
Volume=%2820x%5E2%2B7x-6%29%283x%2B2%29Now multiply the two remaining factors. You're going to multiply every term in the left parenthesis by 3x and every term in the left parenthesis by 2.
Volume=60x%5E3%2B21x%5E2-18x%2B40x%5E2%2B14x-12
Volume=60x%5E3%2B61x%5E2-4x-12So that's the volume of the box

V=LWH
V=(5x-2)(4x+3)(3x+2)
First, multiply the first two sets of terms.
V=(20x^2+15x-8x-6)(3x+2)
Combine like terms in the first set of parentheses
V=(20x^2+7x-6)(3x+2)
V=60x^3+40x^2+21x^2+14x-18x-12
Now combine the like terms
V=60x^3+61x^2-4x-12
Take your time when doing this sort of problem so you don't miss anything. After multiplying it all out, it may make it easier to combine the like terms by rewriting the expression with all of the like terms beside each other if they don't fall into line like they did in this problem.
