You can say that +x+ is the original price
( $3,000 in this case )
Also say that +p+ is the price after whatever discounts
are applied
After 1st discount:
+p+=+x+-+.3x+
+p+=+.7x+

After 2nd discount:
+p+=+.7x+-+.1%2A%28+.7x+%29+
+p+=+.7x+-+.07x+
+p+=+.63x+
--------------
Now just say +x+=+3000+ and
solve for +p+, the current price
