Let x repsent the amount of days Ann worked
Hector worked for x-8 days
NUMBER OF DAYS:
x+x-8=72
2x=80
x=40
40-8=32
Hector worked for 32 days and Ann worked for 40 days
EQAUTION:
32(x-2)+40x=1088
72x=1152
x=16
32(16-2)=448
40(16)=640
Hence, HEctor worked for 32 days and had a payment of $448
