Hi
The sum of two numbers is 64.
Let x and (64-x) represent the smaller and larger number respectively
2x = (64-x) - 10
3x = 54
x = 18, the smaller number. the larger number is 46 (64-18)
CHECKING our Answer***
36 = 46-10
