Seven Twelfths of the students mispronounced the word chic. If 1440 students pronounced chic correctly, how many students mispronounced it?
If 7/12 ths pronouced the work incorrectly then 5/12 pronounced
it correctly.
EQUATION:
Let total number of students be "x".
Then 1440 = (5/12)x
x=1440(12/5)
x=3456 (total number of students)
(7/12(3456)=2016 (number of students who who mispronounced chic)
